Conservative Caucus Chair Scott Reid says the party supports Pierre Polievre and the mandatory leadership is nothing more than a formality.
While the Liberals saw increased support in Eastern Ontario, so too did the Conservatives, which the MP says stems from strong party leadership.
Reid says the public backing remains strong.
A leadership review is required at the next national convention following an election defeat.
