Bradyn Waterman and companion, Innis, led the way at the 2025 Renfrew Lions Club Walk for Guide Dog
Renfrew’s Lions Club is so excited for one of their favorite fundraisers that they’re boasting about it months in advance.
The local Pet Valu Walk for Guide Dogs will happen along Ma-te-Way Park and the nearby trail system on Sunday, May 31st, as organizer Diana Larocque has begun her reach to the community for gift cards, baskets of goodies, or just plain funding that could help the gathering repeat its successful on-site auction from last year.
The Dog Guides program helps to educate and train dogs to help their partners in a wide variety of needs, including vision and hearing aid, seizure response, autism assistance, diabetes alert, facility support, and as service dogs.
With no government financial support, the Dog Guide programs empower Canadians with disabilities to navigate their world with confidence and independence by providing Dog Guides at no cost to them.
If you wish to make a donation, reach out to the renfrewlionsclub.ca, or call Diana at 613-433-3761.
