Renfrew Mayor Tom Sidney has proposed Renfrew’s 2026 Capital and Operating budget, which is available to view now online.
However, before the budget will be approved by council the town will be hosting a public consultation later this month.
On Jan. 27, starting at 5:30 p.m., locals will be able to express their opinions regarding the draft budget and are encouraged to do so.
The meeting will be held in the Council Chambers.
Those who cannot attend can also submit comments through the clerk’s email; clerks@renfrew.ca.
The current total operating budget for the Town of Renfrew if this draft passed would be $23,612,560 with a proposed tax rate change of 7.73 per cent.
