A truly sad story coming out of Brudenell, Lyndoch and Raglan Township this afternoon. A five year old child has died after an ATV collision. According to the Upper Ottawa Valley OPP, it happened on Saturday morning around 11am on a private property. The preliminary investigation reveals the child was alone on the ATV when it crashed into a tree. The child was wearing a helmet but succumbed to their injuries after they were air lifted to a regional trauma centre. A post-mortem has been scheduled. The investigation is continuing with the help of the Chief Coroner and and a forensic pathologist, an OPP Collision Reconstructionist, Technical Collision Investigator, and the UOV OPP Crime Unit are also assisting.
