Suzanne Madore is embracing the chance to lead Renfrew Victoria Hospital forward with transparency and strength.
RVH’s newest Chief Executive Officer has relished hitting the ground running since she took over the role halfway through 2025, acting as the “present and future” of the hospital following a period of supervision by the provincial government stemming back to an investigation into financial and governance irregularities by former staff.
Despite the circumstance, Madore says RVH has continued to maintain a sterling reputation for its positive patient experience thanks to a strong focus on doctor recruitment and retention, as well as pipeline programs tapping into local schools like Algonquin College that have ensured general care and specialized services are kept close to home.
She’s not surprised, having had a close look at how RVH cares for its community during more than 30 years in various roles with the Ottawa Hospital.
Looking ahead, Madore says the hospital has a good problem on their hands, as they have many major projects on the go, including ongoing redevelopment of what are currently their chronic and active care facilities.
Reaching out to the community, Madore says she and her staff are committed to embracing their commitment to achieving the level of service excellence expected by the community.
