Friends and family are mourning as a familiar face for many passing by downtown Renfrew died over the holiday weekend.
Jack Collins, who many in Renfrew will remember for his work with Fraser’s Clothes Shops, passed away peacefully at the age of 92 this past Saturday, December 27th, while in the care of Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
On top of his more than 47-year career with Fraser’s, Jack was also fondly remembered for being heavily involved in the community through his ties with the local Lions Club and his church.
A memorial service will be celebrated at the Renfrew Presbyterian Church on Saturday, January 3rd, starting at 11:00 am, followed by a reception at Kirk Hall.
A private interment will be held at Thompsonhill Cemetery in the spring.
