In December, the to-do list seems never-ending.
Between work, appointments, Christmas shopping, gift wrapping, and the general chaos of the season, it’s easy for people to turn to food for comfort.
That was registered dietitian Emily Szatrowski.
That busyness can also set people up for unhealthy habits, as they skip meals or only stop for a quick snack – which often leads to deeper cravings later in the day.
Szatrowski says one way to help is by taking a few minutes to plan your meals instead of winging it and falling into poor choices.
She suggests freezer-friendly options as well, like making a large batch of soup that you can portion and grab when needed.
She also recommends finding non-food activities that help manage stress.
