There will be plenty of chances Renfrew to keep its most vulnerable residents fed over the holidays.
Members of the Renfrew Lions Club will be accepting food and financial donations in support of the Renfrew & District Food Bank at the Renfrew Metro this Saturday, December 6th.
Anyone interested in taking part should remember to check that food donations have best before dates are will into the future, as expired items cannot be given away. The food bank also notes that fridge and freezer space are also items that require it.
Club President James Johnston says that our community is relying on the food bank more than ever to keep their shelves stock in order to help people in need and a little assistance can have an immediate impact.
Community members will have another chance to give back to the food bank later on Saturday evening during the Renfrew Santa Claus parade.
