The Renfrew Golf Club is making the most of their offseason by welcoming a new clubhouse pro.
Chris Learmonth will join RGC beginning in 2026 and moving forward, adding 35 years of experience as a PGA of Canada member with a strong focus on teaching, player development, and shop management to their staff heading into the club’s 97th year in operation.
Learmonth most recently spent two years as a full-time instructor with the Kevin Haime Golf Centre in Ottawa, and his resume includes 24 years as a Class A Golf Professional at clubs like the Carleton Golf & Yacht Club, Elm Ridge Golf & Country Club, Glengarry Golf & Country Club, Deep River Golf Club, Miramichi Golf & Country Club, and one season at Whitetail Golf Club.
RGC adds that they are excited to have Chris play a key role in supporting their golf operations team when he officially begins in late February or early March, while outgoing Proshop Manager Larry Vice will move into an ambassador role for the club after eight seasons.
