Kids in the MRC Pontiac have put up a 24-hour challenge to the community in support of the battle against local food insecurity.
Students with Sieur-de-Coulonge Secondary School in Fort Coulonge will embark on a 100-kilometre walk to raise donations for Bouffe Pontiac, starting from the school at noon this Friday, November 28th, travelling through Campbell’s Bay, Shawville, and Bristol before landing at the Campbell’s Bay food bank midday on Saturday.
The school encourages the entire MRC Pontiac to create a corridor of encouragement along the route with cheers, posters, banners, and plenty of support as the students make the long trek across the community. Donations will also be encouraged along the route.
