Arnprior’s Connor Clattenburg is making the most of his first big league opportunity.
The 20-year-old forward suited up for his second NHL regular season game with the Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday night, provide one of the evening’s few bright spots for his team by scoring his first NHL goal in an 8-3 loss to the Dallas Stars.
Clattenburg, a former member of the Ottawa Valley Titans and Renfrew Wolves, was drafted to the Oilers in the fifth round in 2024 and was previously the captain of the OHL’s Flint Firebirds, where he finished with 16 goals, 19 assists and 108 penalty minutes in 46 games last season.
