People heading to the Tim Hortons along Renfrew’s O’Brien Road will have to make a slight change to their daily coffee run.
The storefront temporarily closed its doors starting on Tuesday morning ahead of a major revamp that franchise owner Richard Dean says will make a number of improvements to the flow of work behind the counter, as well as the customer experience at the front of the house.
Dean explains that the renovation, which will take as much as four weeks to complete, has come after months of preparation under the watchful eye of the Tim Horton’s head office, which keeps track of the condition of each of the estimated 3,500 locations across the county.
He also says moving ahead with the project hinged on whether or not they could find a temporary solution to care for the store’s regular customers, which he says will take the form of a mobile Tim’s storefront right next to the main site.
Dean is confident that customers will get their first look at the newly refreshed storefront ahead of Christmas.
