Local police are crediting the public’s interest in their effort to recover World War II medals stolen in Renfrew last week.
The Renfrew OPP have used information gathered from residents to identify and locate a person of interest caught on security footage at the Renfrew Public Library at 3:00 pm on Friday, November 14th, when the medals were last seen on display as part of events marking Remembrance Day.
Officers were able to recover the medals following a search for the man. However, the OPP has yet to confirm if charges have been laid in connection to the incident.
