The Township of Admaston/Bromley is allowing residents to have open air fires starting Nov. 15, following a dry and fire-ban ridden summer.
Admaston/Bromley residents are permitted to have campfires and burn barrels until April 15.
However, before the kindling and matches are set the fires can only be permitted once a burning permit has been acquired from the Fire Chief or designate.
The township notes the burn site cannot have a mesh screen thicker than 5mm.
“Campfires are considered to be for cooking, for warmth or for recreational enjoyment – with a maximum size of two feet by two feet by two feet,” a township press release said.
To obtain a permit visit Admaston/Bromley’s website or call or text the Fire Chief at (613)-281-0562.
