The “crown jewel of parks in the Ottawa Valley” is getting a refresh and the Town of Arnprior is looking for some community guidance.
Starting next year work will begin on the park’s upper-level to replace outdated amenities to improve accessibility, such as play structures, the splash pad, washrooms. pathways and lighting.
The Town notes that during the construction period, which is expected to last all of 2026, the upper-level amenities such as the Lions Club Pavillion (gazebo), washrooms, canteen, play structure and splash pad will be closed.
However, Arnprior is looking for some public consulting before shovels hit the dirt.
To hear feedback they’ve launched a survey for the public to fill out, answering questions about projected play spaces and amenities.
For example respondents can choose between two different splash pad concepts, four play structure configurations. two shade shelter concepts and two swing set concepts.
