Environment Canada is warning of significant snowfall across parts of southern Ontario beginning Sunday morning and continuing into the night.
For the moment it appears as though a good portion of The Ottawa Valley is out of harms way, but that could change as the evening progresses.
Between 10 and 20 centimetres of snow are expected as a low-pressure system moves through parts of the province. Areas near the St. Lawrence River could see a mix of snow, ice pellets or freezing rain, which may reduce overall accumulation.
Drivers are being advised to prepare for difficult travel conditions, reduced visibility and possible transportation delays. Residents are urged to monitor Environment Canada alerts and forecasts for updates. Severe weather reports can be submitted via email to onstorm@ec.gc.ca or shared on X using the hashtags #ONStorm or #QCStorm.
