Smoke bellowing out of the site of the fire, screengrab of a video taken by a listener.
At approximately 3:20 p.m., yesterday afternoon, Pembroke Fire Department (PFD) received a call about a garage fire on Moffat St., a media release reports.
When PFD was traveling to the scene with a single truck the fire had spread to the house the garage was attached to.
The responding crew updated the response code and requested all available PFD units tend to the scene.
Once PFD arrived the blaze had fully engulfed the garage, the rear of the home and several vehicles.
Five people evacuated the home and were unharmed.
PFD had to “knock down a section of the fire” which was causing damage to a neighbouring home.
