A recent move by the town of Renfrew could be seen as a sign that the summer tourism season is officially over.
Town staff have announced that the RV dump station outside the Visitor Information Centre has shut down for the winter, leaving visitors dropping by the community in RVs or camper vans with one less place to empty and rinse their wastewater tanks.
The free service, which is usually operated by student staff, usually closes at the end of October each year to protect the system’s pipes from freezing weather and is planned to return once warmer temperatures return next spring.
