A unique opportunity for hands-on training will see the Ottawa Valley’s firefighters make the trip to North Algona Wilberforce.
The township has been selected to host the Mobile Live Fire Training Unit next week, as the Ontario Fire College provides local firefighters with purpose-built, portable training facilities to enhance their skills in realistic fire conditions.
The training unit, one of two roaming the province at any given time, aims to support safer communities by bringing high-quality training to their doorstep.
Over 120 firefighters from 13 local municipalities are expected to participate over five days of intense heat, flame, humidity, low visibility, and smoke between Wednesday, October 29th, and Sunday, November 2nd.
