Lane Cleroux
Another local municipality has found what they hope is the right fit for the rest of the current term of council.
Horton Township has announced that Lane Cleroux will join fellow representatives as their newest member of council, taking on the role until the next municipal election in 2026.
Cleroux was among nine candidates who applied for the role, which opened up following the dismissal of former Mayor David Bennett earlier this year.
Township staff say they look forward to his contributions as part of their team, noting that he brings “valuable experience, community insight, and a commitment to public service that will contribute greatly to Council’s ongoing work on behalf of residents.”
Cleroux will make his official Declaration and Oath of Office at the Special Council Meeting being held Tuesday, October 28th, at 4:00 p.m.
