Local police say a recent call for service dredged up something far bigger than a fish from the Ottawa River.
The Renfrew OPP were called to a Whitewater Region after someone located a vehicle submerged under the surface of the river at around 11:15 am back on Friday, October 15th.
Officers recovered the car from the water and would eventually learn that it was reported stolen in 2024 out of Whitewater Region.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the local OPP detachment’s non-emergency line.
