ALL MONTH: The RVH Foundation’s PUT YOUR BREAST FOOT FORWARD 5km Walk/Run takes place annually during the month of October to recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can do your 5km walk/run at anytime throughout the month of October and RVH encourages participants to share photos to our social media accounts! All funds raised from the PYBBF walk are directed to the RVH Mammography unit. TODAY: The Bonnechere Algonquin First Nation’s EarlyOn Mobile Unit teams up with the Renfrew Library this Thursday to teach Renfrew’s kids through stories and songs during an interactive indigenous drumming session. Perfect for kids aged 0-6, registration required.
TOMORROW: Downtown Renfrew transforms into a spooktacular destination on Freaky Friday! Explore the Circus Square Graveyard, R.P.L.’s Circus of Horrors, Haunted Alleyway, Pathway’s Haunted Circus, and enjoy trick-or-treating along the street. Join the Monster Mash Family Dance and take part in Costume & Pumpkin Judging at the Legion. The Renfrew & District Food Bank will be on Railway Avenue beside Low Square—please bring a donation to support local families. Don’t miss this frightfully fun night! TOMORROW: The Renfrew County Child Poverty Action Network will be accepting donations of new or gently used winter gear for children (infant – 18yrs) at St. Joseph’s in Renfrew this Friday 24, October 4pm – 6pm as part of Operation Snowsuit, helping families in need stay warm this winter! Underserved families in need of a fresh set of winter gear can then drop by on Saturday from 10:00 to 2:00. Kids must be on hand to be fitted for their new winter clothing. First come, first served.
