UDPATE:
The Renfrew OPP say an investigation into a fatal late-evening crash in Admaston/Bromley is ongoing.
Officers and other first responders were sent to Highway 132 near Hass Road after an SUV collided with a group of loose horses at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday, October 22nd.
A 39-year-old female driver was pronounced dead at the scene, while three of the horses involved were also killed in the collision.
The local detachment is currently working with the OPP’s Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, as well as a collision reconstructionist and technical collision investigator, and asks anyone who could help with the case to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
Local police say they are still piecing together the finer points surrounding a recent accident near Renfrew.
The Renfrew OPP reopened Highway 132 between Hass Road and Whelan Road in Admaston/Bromley at around 7:10 am on Thursday, October 23rd, after what they described at the time as a “serious collision,” which would require commuters to plan alternate routes away from the scene late Wednesday night.
An OPP spokesperson has since confirmed that the single-vehicle incident was fatal but notes that the detachment is still working on the details surrounding the crash.
