The local hockey phenom, who is currently playing in his rookie season with the OHL’s Peterborough Petes, has been selected to represent Canada at the upcoming U17 World Challenge in Truro, Nova Scotia.
Speaking with Hockey Canada, Program of Excellence general manager Alan Millar calls the tournament an important step in the development of McGregor and the 43 other players chosen to play and “a tremendous opportunity to compete at the international level.”
McGregor will be in the lineup for Canada White as they open their tournament against Sweden at 7:30 pm on November 2nd.
