Renfrew’s Curling Rink hopes that their games this weekend will be the start of something new for Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
Rink president Keith Moss welcomes teams to their Xavier Street clubhouse this Saturday for the first-ever RVH Rocks Bonspiel, a fun tournament that he wants to develop into an affordable contemporary fundraiser that can pair with the very popular RVH Golf Classic.
The Curling Club has been buzzing with excitement as the bonspiel approaches, with members stepping up “left, right, and centre” as they reach for a lofty goal in support of improving kidney care for patients from across the Ottawa Valley.
Moss says both the hospital and rink are bringing what they do best to the table as last-minute preparations continue into the weekend, adding that the bonspiel will be a brand-new experience for many at the RVH Foundation.
Limited space is available at $75 per person, which will get players into the opening draw plus coffee, lunch, and dinner, all held at the rink.
