Customer experience is key for the ongoing success of Renfrew’s brick-and-mortar bookstore.
In a Bind and the Valley Refillery has been offering a tailored collection of works plus a selection of environmentally conscious reusable goods for the past three years, and while owner Kinsey Maxwell says there are other places in town to find books, she does the most of any business to make sure you find the ones you actually want.
Maxwell has not had as much time to spend at their Raglan Street location due to a mix of maternity leave and work on their new location further up the street, but the effort she has put in to building bonds and delivering on the expectations can still be felt with her regular customers.
She is particularly excited about moving into the former Renfrew Castle Design Centre location next week, one of many historic buildings in the downtown core that she feels are a vital part of the community’s identity.
In a Bind’s upcoming move up Raglan Street will also give Maxwell around double the space her current storefront offers, which she will use to expand their inventory to offer items that they have wanted to stock but couldn’t at their current location.
