The owner of Renfrew’s newest barbershop says he’s enjoying the change of pace found within the community.
Tony, with the Royal Barber Shop on Raglan Street South, explains that bringing his 15 years of experience as a barber to Renfrew at the start of October has brought a kind of friendly curiosity from both his new neighbours in the downtown core and customers that is hard to come by in the big city.
He believes smaller communities in the Ottawa Valley, like Renfrew, are quickly benefiting thanks to families moving in from larger populations looking to set up roots in places where everything they need is closer to home.
Tony says his goal is to provide a friendly, relaxing experience for customers of all ages, whether that means a chance to chat over coffee before hopping in the barber’s chair or easing a younger customer’s concerns over chips and juice, and he’s working to build the business to meet growing needs in the near future.
The Royal Barber Shop is currently accepting customers by both appointment and walk-ins at 260 Raglan Street South.
