Renfrew’s No Frills is set to provide a new experience for shoppers in the new year.
Co-owner Chris Wojcik says plans are in the works for a wide-scale renovation of their O’Brien Road grocery store, including a particular push to streamline and improve visibility in their non-food aisles which will also see a new space open up at the request of his wife and franchise partner, Tanya.
The update will also make significant changes to the way Renfrew residents do their grocery run, as Wojcik has plans to move from their old “superstore” layout to create a better layout for their fresh produce wall, more energy-efficient fridge and freezer aisles, and a major change to the central grocery section that he says has been sorely needed.
No set date has been set up to begin the renovation process, but Wojcik says the ongoing construction of the new Shoppers Drug Mart next door has given him plenty of opportunities and incentive to begin laying the groundwork for next year.
Wojcik says operations at the store will remain business as usual while he waits to hear back on when the project can begin.
