One of Renfrew County’s first responders is being honoured for their outstanding career achievements.
The County of Renfrew’s Paramedic Service is congratulating Commander Steve Osipenko for recently receiving the Governor General’s Emergency Medical Services Exemplary Service Medal, which recognizes his outstanding career accomplishments and dedication to excellence in emergency medical services.
Osipenko, who is just one of 180 recipients from Ontario to receive the national honour this year, collected his medal at the Ontario Association of Paramedics Chiefs Fall Symposium in London.
The award follows his OAPC Humanitarian Award win last year, where the association recognized his involvement with local annual Christmas toy and food drives, as well as his work with Global Medic to deliver ambulances filled with supplies as part of disaster relief efforts and his countless volunteer hours supporting residents across Renfrew County.
The County of Renfrew’s Paramedic Service says the honour highlights Osipenko’s ongoing commitment to serving others and reflects the values shared by their entire team.
