On this brisk Wednesday morning the Renfrew Rusty Blades made a donation of $1000 to myFM and Renfrew Minor Hockey Association’s (RMHA) 96 Hearts fundraising campaign.
The fundraising campaign was set up in partnership with the RMHA to pool some funding for families who cannot afford to enroll their child in hockey.
Earl O’Reilly, a team executive for the Rusty Blades, said the donation was simply made to give the community some extra support.
O’Reilly said the Rusty Blades have decades of experience understanding the importance of being active and participating in sports.
The 96 Hearts campaign is running until Oct. 9 and more info can be found on our website: https://www.renfrewtoday.ca/myfm-helping-kids-play/
Anyone who donated to the 96 Hockey Heroes fundraiser is invited to stop by with fellow donors at a barbeque lunch at Gourley’s Outdoors from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm tomorrow provided by Rick Dillabough and Chris and Tanya’s No Frills.
