myFM's Aline Stukart with the special 96 Hockey Heroes commemorative mug, available to the first 96 donors
Celebrations are in order after a week-long dash to promote youth sports in Renfrew.
myFM account manager Aline Stukart says there are just a few spaces left to be part of the station’s 96 Hockey Heroes campaign, which will wrap up its fundraising for a local fund supporting families in need looking to join the Renfrew Minor Hockey Association with a special donor-only event at Gourley’s Outdoors from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm this Thursday, October 9th.
Anyone who donated to the 96 Hockey Heroes fundraiser is invited to stop by to connect with fellow boosters while marking the occasion with a barbeque lunch provided by Rick Dillabough and Chris and Tanya’s No Frills, as well as a big picture with all the donors involved that will commemorate the thousands of dollars that will help make sure every local child who wants to play can do so.
Stukart says the response to the fundraising blitz has been nothing short of amazing, as people continue to pledge their support ahead of Thursday’s deadline.
People who have yet to donate but would like to be part of the celebration this Thursday can do so at Gourley’s, but Stukart reminds you that only the first 96 Hockey Heroes to do so will get the commemorative “Helping Kids Play” mug full of coupons from local sponsors.
