Support continues to pour in as residents across Renfrew are eager to make sure every kid who wants to can play.
Renfrew’s Rotary Club Director John Wilson says getting a consensus from their membership on making a massive $960 contribution towards 96.1 myFM’s 96 Hearts campaign took all of just a few emails and about 30 minutes.
The donation, which covers 10 of the anticipated 96 contributions that will help build a fund to help families cover costs when joining Renfrew Minor Hockey, is a ready-made way for the Rotary Club to fulfill one of their main objectives by supporting area children.
Wilson also encourages the community to put their support behind the campaign and get it to its goal as it gets closer to its Thursday deadline.
The first 96 Hearts supporters will get a limited-edition commemorative mug filled with deals from supporting local businesses and will be invited to a community celebration on Thursday, October 9th.
More details and the link to donate can be found on our website.
