Firefighters in Arnprior say two people have been displaced by an early morning fire they were sent to on Friday.
Crews responded to a home on William Street just before 3:00 am to find the rear of the structure fully engulfed by the blaze, which would be tended to until late into the morning on October 3rd.
The homeowner and her young son escaped uninjured after being awakened by sounds of the fire and their smoke alarm. However, the extensive damage caused to the home has made it uninhabitable.
Both will be staying with local family members, while the Fire Department says the cause of the fire has not been determined.
