Algonquin College has postponed three events planned at its Pembroke campus as the provincewide strike by Ontario college staff continues.
The Open House on Oct. 20, World of Choices on Oct. 21, and Jill of All Trades on Oct. 24 will all be rescheduled once the labour disruption is resolved, the college confirmed this week.
The postponements come amid an ongoing strike that has closed campuses across Ontario and disrupted events meant to connect students with programs, employers, and hands-on learning opportunities. The Open House typically draws prospective students and families, while World of Choices is designed to showcase career paths. Jill of All Trades is a day-long event encouraging young women to explore skilled trades.
College officials say new dates will be announced once negotiations are settled.
