Highway 60 has reopened following several hours of investigation into the second fatal accident in the area over span of one afternoon.
The Renfrew OPP closed Highway 60 from Butler Road to Cotieville Road following what they call a “serious collision” at around 4:40 pm on Tuesday, September 30th, that required passing motorists to avoid the area while officers and other first responders to investigate and clear the scene.
Police say the section of road has been reopened as of just before 10:25 pm that evening, noting that the appreciate the patience and understanding of the public for the delay.

At 4:38 p.m. today, Horton Fire Department responded to a vehicle collision on Hwy. 60.
It’s reported that a car and motorcycle collided by Cotieville road.
