The Kidney Foundation of Canada will lean on the Ottawa Valley to help support loved ones living with kidney disease.
Renfrew County will be one of 28 communities taking part in this year’s Kidney Walk, turning to friends, families, and neighbours to join them at the Riverwalk Amphitheatre in Pembroke starting at 10:00 am this Sunday, September 28th, raising funds to help thousands of people through the foundation’s crucial programs and services.
So far, donors from across the county have raised over $21,000 towards the cause, with an additional $7,365 collected by Renfrew’s Gillan family, who will be part of the foundation’s virtual walk while still searching for a live kidney donor for their son, Lucas.
