Police in the Killaloe area say charges have been laid after a drunk driver escaped from a scary accident unscathed.
The Upper Ottawa Valley OPP were advised of a vehicle that rolled over into a ditch along Round Lake Road just after 6:30 pm on Tuesday, September 15th.
Officers note that the lone driver involved, a 34-year-old from Pembroke, suffered very minor injuries and was not transported to a nearby hospital. Instead, the driver was taken to the local detachment for further testing after an investigation that included a roadside screening device.
He has since been released from custody ahead of a court appearance in late October.
