The showcase of everything grown, made, and created in the Ottawa Valley is ready to celebrate the fall season later this month.
Taste of the Valley heads to the Calabogie Rink and Community Hall rain or shine from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, September 20th, continuing a more-than-decade-long mission to put Renfrew County’s food producers and artisans in the spotlight.
Greater Madawaska Mayor Taylor Popkie expects to host 70 vendors with fresh local produce, handcrafted products, baked goods, hot food, jams, preserves, and more outside the hall and along the floor of the covered rink, adding that “you’ll not find a more fun-filled event in all the land.”
The county’s economic development coordinator, Scott Hamilton, calls the day a “unique opportunity to connect with the farmers, artisans, and creators who shape our region, while enjoying the flavours and craftsmanship that make Renfrew County truly exceptional.”
Taste of the Valley will also head to the Cobden Fairgrounds in Whitewater Region on October 18th and the Knights of Columbus Hall in Pembroke for a special Christmas Market on December 13th.
