
Local first responders have confirmed a house fire along the border of Renfrew and Admaston/Bromley Township.
Admaston/Bromley Fire Chief Bill McHale explains that the Renfrew and Douglas Fire Departments were first on the scene along Highway 132 after reports of the structure fire which came in at around 5:30 am on Thursday.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and the structure is still standing, however McHale says the fire caused significant damage to the interior of the home.
A spokesperson for the Renfrew OPP says that they and the Office of the Fire Marshall are currently investigating the situation, adding that there are no further details to report at this time.
