A special weather statement from Environment Canada is calling for strong winds to develop across the Ottawa Valley for most of today.
The weather agency says gusts of 70 to 90 kilometres per hour from the southwest will begin starting late this morning and continue into the evening, bringing the possibility of a weather warning sometime today with them.
High winds can cause damage to trees, power lines, and other structures, creating potential power outages or delays on roads due to debris.
