Renfrew’s junior hockey clubs have restocked themselves with plenty of fresh talent just in time to get back onto the ice.
Both the Junior A Wolves and Junior B Timberwolves recently welcomed several new players ahead of their preseason exhibition schedule, which gets underway this weekend.
The Wolves have announced the signings of forwards Ethan Ross (WB/Scranton Knights, NCDC), Joey Terpstra (Honda Victory 18U AAA, Tier 1 Elite Hockey League USA), and Tristen Aben (Aurora Tigers, OJHL), as well as defensemen Julian Young (Anaheim Jr. Ducks 18U AAA) and homegrown product Hayden Reid (Renfrew Jr. B Timberwolves).
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have added goaltender Dylan Elliott (Grey-Bruce Highlanders U18AAA) and forward Mannix Hart (Ottawa Sting U18 AAA) to a core that is looking to return to the playoffs for the second straight year.
The Wolves will get their first look at their latest acquisitions this Friday, August 29th, as they travel to Smiths Falls for a 7:30 pm game against the Bears. Looking ahead, the Timberwolves welcome players to enter next week’s main camp for prospective Junior B players starting on September 4th.
