Classic car enthusiasts should make time for a trip to the Renfrew Fairgrounds right after the fair itself wraps up.
The fourth annual Cruise In for Cancer returns on Saturday, September 13th, featuring hundreds of classic makes and models, plus trucks, bikes, and other automotive oddities that organizer Ken Riopelle says bring in a big audience in support of cancer research each year.
Riopelle says car owners across the Ottawa Valley are eager to show off their prides and joys with registration just $10 per vehicle, with a few regularly entering their projects and restorations in bulk.
The day is free for spectators to enjoy, but anything they can give to help the Canadian Cancer Society will go a long way.
It shouldn’t surprise anyone familiar with Riopelle, who can often be found at the local NAPA auto parts store, which makes and models will draw his attention once cars start rolling into the fairgrounds that Saturday.
Vendors are also welcome to take part in the show for a $25 admission fee. Contact Ken at 613-433-7100 or Cory at 613-433-0275.
