Watermain construction began Thursday Aug. 28 and closing McNab Ave. to local traffic only.
Traffic along Renfrew’s McNab Avenue will experience some interruptions due to infrastructure repairs.
Starting today, the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) began to replace the watermain under McNab Ave.
The Town of Renfrew says surrounding residents may experience reduced water pressure or discoloured water during the replacement process.
McNab’s street access will be limited to local traffic.
The OCWA and the Town of Renfrew signed a contract in 2023 making OCWA responsible for more of the town’s water projects such as water distribution and wastewater treatment and collection.
Earlier this month the town reworked their water policies to align closer with OCWA’s objectives and standards in an effort to streamline bureaucratic processes.
