Arnprior Council has received a report from Tony Flemming, Integrity Commissioner for the Town, which renders a judgement on demonstrated behaviours of four-term representative Lynn Cloutier.
Flemming dealt with both a specific complaint in reference to the March 5th Accessibility and Age Friendly Advisory Committee which she as Vice-Chair convened, and other perceived behavioural issues.
The Integrity Commissioner finds certain visual cues captured on camera are not.
Flemming considers interrupting peers to be beyond accepted protocols, and that outspoken frankness may sometimes reflect poorly on the entire representative body.
There was no financial penalty assessed by the IC, but he stipulated a six-month cooling off period wherein Cloutier should not chair the Accessibility and Age Friendly Advisory Committee.
Councillor Cloutier fully cooperated with Fleming’s investigation, admitting that personal circumstances had clouded her judgment.
Elected representatives received the Integrity Commissioner’s Report, which will be published as a public document on the Town of Arnprior’s website.
Cloutier works for My Broadcasting Corporation, the parent company of Oldies 107.7, 96.1 myFM and Arnpriortoday.ca
