The Pontiac Agricultural Society is hoping good numbers during their ticket pre-sales will mean a big turnout at the fairgrounds this weekend.
General Manager Mavis Hanna welcomes the Ottawa Valley to experience an all-inclusive experience when the Shawville Fair opens its gates starting this Thursday, August 28th.
While the community has been excited for the whole long weekend, Hanna says it’s the headline acts that have everyone excited to be part of the fun.
Friday will be a particularly important moment in the fair’s history, according to Hanna, who says they’ve tabbed military personnel from nearby Garrison Petawawa for a celebration of all things Canada, including Glass Tiger’s induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and a stunt that could leave its mark in the history books.
That’s not to diminish the packed schedule that will entice guests throughout the weekend, including the musical talents of Parmalee and Brent Kissel, a flourishing midway, family entertainment, a classic car show, a demolition derby, and more—all for one all-inclusive price, a Shawville Fair tradition Hanna says keeps the fun affordable and accessible for all.
Guests can still purchase day and weekend passes, as well as camping options, through Ticketscene.
