First responders in Whitewater Region are celebrating their recent chance to break bread with the community.
The Whitewater Region Fire Department is sending a big thank you after their 7th annual First Responders Breakfast fundraiser earlier this month at Bona Vista Campground, which offered the public a chance to learn more about the work they do, pick up swag, and test their mettle with a fire stream obstacle course.
The day raised $3,000 in donations while also encouraging the next generation of volunteer firefighters to develop a love for community service, with the fire department noting that they love to see so many engaged children having a great time with their firefighters.
