With just a few days left before a long trek through the community for charity, Pat McGregor says every little bit helps.
McGregor, an avid runner from Renfrew who has spent the past few years raising money for various causes, says the physical training for this Saturday’s “30 for 30” duathlon has been a challenging but positive experience as she continues raising funds for an important service offered by Renfrew Victoria Hospital.
What has been a more difficult situation is asking for donations towards her $30,000 goal for the RVH Dialysis unit, as McGregor understands that everyone has a limit as to what they can give.
She says anything that you can fit into your budget will help a cause that she has had to personally learn a lot about in recent years.
Around 375 donors have contributed just over $18,000 towards the $30,000 goal as of Wednesday, August 20th, but McGregor points out that the community has always shown amazing support every time she’s put her mind, heart, and legs to the test for charity.
Donations can be made through the Renfrew Victoria Hospital Foundation website.
