Even more cuts from the Beer Store mean another Ottawa Valley location is on the chopping block.
In their latest announcement, the Beer Store says their Eganville location along Highway 60 is among 12 stores scheduled to close on October 19th, with Vice President of Retail Ozzie Ahmed pointing to the changing marketplace for alcohol sales in Ontario for the closures.
Ahmed says that the Beer Store “recognizes the contributions our employees make to the business and in the communities where we operate,” adding that they will be making efforts to support affected employees without elaborating how.
The announcement comes just over a month after the Beer Store announced the closure of their Deep River location, set for September 14th.
