The countdown to fair season is on across the region, with one of the most anticipated events happening across the Ottawa River.
The 2025 Shawville Fair returns to the Pontiac area over the August 28th weekend, with General Manager Mavis Hanna eager to offer guests from across both provinces a chance to experience the hospitality you can only get once the Ottawa Valley’s most family-friendly fair opens its gates to the public.
On top of a robust midway with rides and games from Beauce Carnival, a packed lineup of family entertainment, magic, and music, and a full array of vendors and concessions keeping patrons happy throughout the weekend, the weekend will feature major headliners like country superstar Brett Kissel, southern charmers Parmalee, and Canadian rock icons Glass Tiger, returning to the area to commemorate a special occasion.
Of course, Hanna says all the glamour of the entertainment is there to support the Shawville Fair’s strong agricultural roots, from the dairy and beef barns to their homecraft and horticultural displays, plus the always popular pony shows and the petting zoo.
All-inclusive passes offering unlimited access to the midway, plus all the entertainment and main stage shows, are available for $20 per day, but Hanna says people hoping to make the most of the event should consider their $60 weekend passes, which are only available until August 27th.
