The civic long holiday will give Renfrew residents an extra day to enjoy their summer, but keep in mind some local stores and services will also be taking the day off.
The Beer Store and the LCBO will be closed all day on Monday, August 4th.
However, shopping will still be available during special holiday hours: Chris and Tanya’s No Frills will be open from 8:00 a.m – 6:00 p.m., Renfrew’s Metro from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Giant Tiger from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Walmart will remain open at it’s usual hours between 7:00 a.m. – 10:00 p.m..
Aikenhead’s Drug Store will be closed, too. However, you will be able to shop at Renfrew’s Rexall between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
There will be no mail delivery, and the post office in your community will be closed. Chartered banks will be closed for the holiday Monday.
Municipal facilities like Town Hall and the Renfrew Public Library will either be closed or have limited services throughout the day.
